The Rookery Cafe is a well-known breakfast spot located at 111 Seward Street in Juneau, Alaska. With only two breakfast options available in the downtown area, The Rookery stands out as a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Co-owned by master chefs Beau and Travis, who also own In Bocca Al Lupo, this breakfast space is responsible for putting Juneau's food scene on the map. The menu offers a range of food fare, from simple to elegant, all at a fair and reasonable price. Customers can pair their meals with beer, wine, mimosas, or coffee beverages from the espresso bar. The cafe has a chilled and local vibe, and the staff, led by the energetic Nichole, is friendly and accommodating. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes, but the Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito is a must-try. The Rookery Cafe is a great addition to Juneau's limited breakfast options, offering a unique culinary experience in a casual and cozy atmosphere.

Strange to have an extensive burger menu with zero vegan or vegetarian burgers. The vegetarian options were very limited, which is surprising for a cafe of this profile. Coffee was extremely high quality. I had an omelette that was pretty standard/basic. Beautiful space in an old building.

Juneau Alaska does not provide a lot of breakfast options——downtown there are two options… and both are great—albeit different from one another. I love The Rookery, located at 111 Seward Street, right up from Juneau Drug. …

Omg! What a great find! Have been in Juneau for 4 days. This is probably one of my favorite places I've eaten at so far. Unique food! Friendly fast service, chilled casual coffee shop vibe. Ordered the avocado toast with a poached egg on …

This is one of the best places to get breakfast/brunch/lunch in Juneau. My personal "go-to" is the Eggs Benedict. The eggs are poached perfectly, the hollandaise sauce is light, and the side of breakfast potatoes are full of flavor and crispy. Their baristas know what they're doing on the coffee bar.

While on layover, the hotel desk strongly recommended this location. Coming by, there was a small line, but it was three times the size when I left. I picked up a couple snacks for tomorrow’s early morning flight and ordered the Ham Scramble, made vegetarian with avocado. The location is cozy and clean and great energy.

Best coffee in town. Best breakfast in town. The coffee beans are freshly roasted. Staff are dedicated to created latte art. Latte temperatures are perfect. Breakfast selection is diversified. Bakery is also top notch. We came here every morning after tasting it once.

I wanted to like this place more. I thought the menu was superb with a good amount of vegetarian options, and patrons and people working there all seemed happy. The bakery items looked fabulous. One of us had a burger with tater tots that …

Best coffee shop in Juneau! I had a latte and a chocolate cinnamon croissant. Both were the best I’ve had here. The atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy. They also offer a full menu with breakfast and lunch and to go options. The staff is very friendly. Located downtown near lots of cool, local shops.

Excellent spot for breakfast or lunch or a to-go coffee/pastry. It is a popular spot, and gets busy quickly in the morning, so going early if you want to sit and eat is recommended. Otherwise, the line moves fairly quickly, and the wait for …

Delicious. Nice cafe ambience with large windows, tall ceilings, art photos on the wall. Philly cheese steak had great flavors and was on a delicate brioche bun. Ham and cheese croissant was perfect in texture and flavor.
